Last week’s meal plan – 20th March – went well. I made every meal I planned to (although we did have a Chinese on Thursday night after weigh-in. I still made the planned meal but took it for lunch on Friday), and even the new dishes went well.
L-R top-bottom :: tuna with ratatouille, chicken biryani, pork chop with roasted butternut squash, beef goulash, Moroccan chicken, fruit trifle
The beef stroganoff got some interest in the comments, and it was delicious so I’ll be posting the recipe for that later in the week. Follow me on Bloglovin’, Twitter or Instagram to know when that post goes live.
So what are we eating this week…? Click the button below to find out!
Meat free Monday again! We’ve not had lentils in a while either, so this will be nice. I’m going to serve it up with orange mash (carrot, butternut and swede).
A new recipe, but it looks nice and simple. I’m going to serve it up with noodles and lots of stir-fried veggies.
Another new one, but I’m loving risotto right now. I’ll serve it with spinach and green beans.
Pork Chops with Apple Mash
A bit stodgy before weigh-in, but I think the misjudged Chinese takeaway and indulgences for mother’s day have meant this week probably isn’t going to be great on the scales anyway! This is an old favourite, and I’ll serve it with broccoli.
An oldie but a goodie, and packed full of veg. I’ll serve it with whatever veggies we have left in the fridge.
As long as I go easy on the spice, a curry goes down quite well with even my four year old. And curries are deceptively easy, which is always nice for a Saturday night. I’ll serve it up with peas and broccoli.
Dinner at my in-laws
It’s father-in-law’s turn this week, and I always love what he serves up. Last time it was bouillabaisse, and he does incredible paellas, curries and roasts too, as well as homemade ice cream for dessert, so I know we’re always in for a treat!
If any of my meals inspire you, let me know and I’ll share the recipe next week!
